Welcome to our Haus, let me show you around!
This summer my husband and I did some hiking in the beautiful mountains surrounding Gröbming, where we have our apartment, Haus FÖN. We went to the Duisitzkarsee, the Silberkarklamm, the Spiegelsee and the Ödensee. Each year in July the charming market town of Gröbming turns into a walhalla for fans and drivers of classic cars. It’s the starting point of the Ennstal-Classic, a three day rally for oldtimers. The cars that are welcome to join are racing two-seaters, sports-prototypes and rallye-cars until 1983. The somewhat glamorous event attracts car aficionados from all over the world. This years stars are Sir Stirling Moss, Mark Webber and AC/DC legend Brian Johnson. Here are some photos I took, the day before the event started. Continue reading
During our stay in our holiday home in Gröbming, our friends wanted to try the Zipline from the Stoderzinken mountain, the longest ride in the sky in Europe. It’s 2500 meters long (with a stop in the middle), 160 meters high and you can reach 115 km/hour.
We spent the holidays in our new holiday home with lot’s of friends and family. It felt a bit like George Michael’s iconic Last Christmas video, only without the heartache, which was great.
